Many patients suffer from dentinal hypersensitivity. The aim of the study was to investigate the diode laser as treatment for dentinal hypersensitivity in normal patients and patients suffering from genetic disorders, and to investigate the closure of dentinal tubules caused by both high and low power diode lasers. laser was used on exposed dentine surface with both high and low power protocols and pain level was assessed post-operative and patients followed up for 3 month. Also dentine discs were used to investigate the closure of dentinal tubules using scanning electron microscope. Results showed the efficiency of both high and low power diode lasers in treatment of dentinal hypersensitivity. High power laser proved to be more effective and fast acting
