The calculated volumes by ultrasound were compared to the volumes aspirated from the stomach of patients under general anaesthesia. There was a strong positive relationship between the injected volume in nasogastric tube and volume estimated by ultrasound with Pearson{u2019}s correlation coefficient (r) of 0.799 ER -
