Statistical distributions are used to model real life phenomena. Seeking flexibility of modeling different types of phenomena remains a strong reason for developing new distributions. The beta-class distributions, the Kumaraswamygenerated distributions, log-gamma-generated distributions, and Kummer Beta Generalized distributions use generators with support [0,1] while gammagenerated distributions use generators with support [0, ) to generate the family. An interesting question is Can we use other distributions as the generator? Recently, a family of T-X distributions was developed using the transformation technique to generate the family. The mean aim of this thesis is to review some methods for generating families of distributions, especially discuss the T-X method for generating families of distributions. We used the T-X method in generating and studied a new two distributions, the first one is the exponentiated exponential-Pareto distribution (EE-PD), the second is the log-gamma - Rayleigh distribution (LGR)
