This study tested the effect of 2 post surface treatment on its push out bond strength to the covering core material. Also it compared the push out bond strength of dual cured and light cured composite used as a core to the fiber posts. A total number of 30 fiber posts were used in this study. Their parallel coronal part was the part mainly used as we test the push out bond strength between post surface and core material. Posts were divided into 3 groups according to the surface treatment each containing 10 posts: Group1: No treatment (control), Group2: Air abrasion (sandblasting) and Group3: tribochemical silica coating (cojet). Silane was applied on all posts surface following surface treatment as indicated by the post manufacturer. The groups were further subdivided according to the mode of curing of the composite core material used to build up the core either dual-cured subgroup or light-cured subgroup. Each subgroup contained 5 posts. For core build-up a special copper mold was fabricated in order to standardize all composite core build-ups in diameter and length. The post after being silanated and dried was placed in the mold. The composite resin in case of the light-cured material was inserted in its space following the incremental technique where each increment was of 2mm in thickness and then light cured
