The present study aims to detect vegetation changes in North Western Coast of Egypt "EL-Dabaa EL-Hammam area" between Latitude(30 41' 45" N and 31 5' 30" N) and longitude (2822' 59" E and 29 29' 30" E) and Algeria "Beni Saf - Oran area" between Latitude(35 20' 30" N and 35 54' 45" N) and longitude (112' 30" W and 02' 0" E) Remote sensing technology was used through satellite images acquired by the US satellite Landsat-8 and Landsat-5 for the years (2016 2000 1984) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Application Programs such as ENVI 5.3 and Arc-gis 10.4 in order to calculate the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and producing to soil properties map and based land degradation assessment. The results of this study indicated that there was a change of vegetation cover between 1984 and 2016 images and increases in water bodies, wet sabkha and some features included cultivated lands in the study area
