The present study was conducted to evaluate the role of yeast beta glucan or vitamin E on oxidative stress, clotting, haematological and biochemical abnormalities in gamma / irradiated, diabetic and diabetic gamma / irradiated rats. In order to achieve the goal of the present study, plasma glucose level, body weight, pancreas weight, oxidative stress parameters included plasma malondialdehyde and blood glutathione, clotting factors included platelet aggregation, prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time, complete blood count and lipid profile were measured. Exposure to fractionated gamma / irradiation didn't affect the plasma glucose level and body weight, increased pancreas weight, plasma MDA, MPV, PDW, PT, APTT and LP relatively with its components and decreased blood GSH, PA, PC and CBC relatively with its components. Exposure to fractionated gamma / irradiation or induction of diabetes followed by exposure to fractionated gamma / irradiation followed by administration of yeast beta glucan or vitamin E to both of them didn't affect the plasma glucose level and body weight and increased pancreas weight, blood GSH, PC, PT, APTT and CBC relatively with its components and decreased plasma MDA, PA, MPV, PDW and LP relatively with its components
