Background Pediatric Non Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) is a heterogeneous disease with varied FDG uptake according to its histologic subtypes. Fluorine-18- fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) and PET integration with computed tomography (PET/CT) combines a PET scanner detector with a helical CT multi-detector that enables precise localization of abnormal lesions and offers more sensitive and specific imaging than either modality alone. Patients and methods: This prospective study included 145 newly diagnosed NHL patients with the main four NHL histologic subtypes (Burkitt lymphoma [BL], Diffuse lymphoma, [DLBCL], Anaplastic large cell lymphoma [ALTCL] and Lymphoblastic lymphoma [LL]) treated at the Children Cancer Hospital Egypt (CCHE) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Cairo University during the period from October 2014 to October 2016 and patients were followed up till the end of April 2017
