Background: There is a high prevalence of auditory processing disorders in children diagnosed as specific language impairment (SLI). Auditory evoked potential is used to represent the neural activity generated at different levels along the auditory pathway. Objective: To assess primarily speech stimulation outcome objectively from the perspective of the central auditory maturation through auditory brainstem response and cortical auditory evoked potential (P1) in children diagnosed with specific language impairment and to correlate between them. Also, to identify any auditory processing disorders in this population for optimum early interventions and to provide a tool in tracking the improvement of language stimulation
