Vascular malformations comprise a wide, heterogeneous spectrum of lesions that involve all parts of the body. Vascular lesions represent the most common cause of pediatric soft-tissue masses. In 1996, the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies. Two categories of vascular anomalies are considered: vascular tumors (with infantile hemangioma being the most common) and vascular malformations. In most patients, diagnosis and proper classification of soft-tissue vascular malformations and tumors are achieved on the basis of an accurate clinical history and physical examination results. Imaging should be targeted at specific information required for treatment planning, Gray-scale ultrasonography (US) coupled with color Doppler US provides information about the degree of vascularity of a lesion.. However, US have the disadvantages of a limited field of view, restricted penetration, and operator dependency
