Methods: 50 patients with menorrhagia were recruited from our outpatient gynaecological clinic in Kasr AlAiny Training Hospital, Cairo university. All patients were diagnosed on non-enhanced two-dimensional ultrasonography with submucous fibroids. Then undergone 3D SIS using a sterile Cuscoe speculum, A 3.3{u2009}mm soft plastic paediatric naso-gastric suction catheter was then passed through the cervix into the uterine cavity without grasping the cervix. A 5{u2009}MHz transvaginal 3D ultrasound probe inserted into the vagina (Voluson 730; KretzTechnik, Austria). A volume of 5{u2013}10{u2009}ml of sterile saline solution was then instilled into the uterine cavity. A 3D volume was generated by the automatic sweep of the mechanical transducer. Then the patient undergone office hysteroscopy using a rigid 30{u00B0} hysteroscope and a 5{u2009}mm diameter diagnostic sheath (Storz Endoscopy, Germany) by an experienced operator who was blinded to the ultrasound findings. Normal saline was used to distend the uterine cavity. Infusion pressure was elevated by a pneumatic cuff under manometric control at a pressure of 100{u2013}120{u2009}mmHg UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
