Objectives: This experimental study was designed to investigate the potential role of amiodarone, the well-known antiarrythmic drug in treatment of chronic theophylline poisoning. Propranolol (non selective B-blocker) is used as a standard drug for comparison. The study was extended to show the potential anticonvulsant and theraputic effect of amiodarone against gastric erosions which occurs with theophylline poisoning ER -
