Using large number of long pipelines transporting crude oil (more than 5,000 km through the transfer of cured oil from fields to treatment units or transfer crude oil to refineries), large amount of energy lose through pumping stations due to friction, occur between the fluid layers and the internal surface of the pipeline. Drag reducer agent largely used to reduce energy losses. DRA is expensive and not locally produced. There is a great need to locally produce DRA to save foreign currency. Preparation of a number of local DRA from high molecular weight polymers by varying the polymer concentrations and maintain the additives constant. Select the most effective and appropriate polymer concentration formulations for use as DRA according to the properties which are needed and measured such as Viscosity, Shear Rate and Density measurement compared to the control DRA and selected local formulations. The energy savings obtained using a field setup at different dosing rate (concentrations) and select the best local formulation according to the values of drag reduction (DR%) and xQ%. Calculation of cost of prepared D.R.A and comparing it with that of the control sample show that the cost of sample (9) is fifth the cost of control sample
