The disorder can have significant mortality if misdiagnosed or mistreated. The main features of DKA are hyperglycemia, metabolic acidosis with a high anion gap and heavy ketonuria. Insulin Glargin is along-acting basal insulin analogue shows no plasma insulin peaks.
