N2  - Background: Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a rare neoplasm that typically arises from the mesothelial surfaces of the pleural cavity. MPM has a poor prognosis. The median survival of patients is between 6 and 18 months, and the outlook has not been substantially improved by newer therapeutic interventions. Carefully selected patients with localized disease can be candidate to receive aggressive multimodality therapy. Aim of the study: 1- The study of clinical and pathological features of MPM for patients receiving combined modality treatment (CMT). 2- The Study of outcome, including progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of patients receiving CMT. Methods: A retrospective, cohort study included 69 patients who were diagnosed and treated as advanced MPM at National cancer Institute between Jan 2008 and Dec 2016 and underwent surgery in context of a trimodality treatment plan, consisted of either neoadjuvant or adjuvant chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy. The patient files were retrieved from Biostatistics & Cancer Epidemiology Department and Pathology Department in National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Cairo University. Qualitative data were represented as numbers and percentages. Chi-square (Fisher's exact) test was used to examine the relation between qualitative variables as appropriate. Survival analysis was done using Kaplan-Meier method. Comparison between two survival curves was done using log rank test
