The VS is a problem that companies face since the beginning of its activity. Vendor selection and evaluation is the process of finding the appropriate vendors who are able to provide the buyer with the right quality products and/orservices at the right price, in the right quantities and at the right time. The VS processes are very important in industrial field now a days since selecting the one that fits best the enterprises requirements, can achieve significant savings. These processes can vary across enterprises depending on many factors. One of these factors is the focus criteria of the company that depends on its competitive market. These criteria may vary from quality, cost/price, delivery, financial capability and stability, supplier management capability, overall personnel capabilities, process and technological capability, environmental regulation compliance, supplier purchasing strategies, policies and techniques, among others. This study demonstrates that the process of VS is more complex when the industries have a large variety of products and suppliers. In contrast, these processes are simpler when the organization produces a limited number of products and has a few vendors. This Study indicates that the criteria price of the product, quality, and delivery are the most criteria of measurement the performance of vendors commonly used by manufacturer and industrial field. The problem of VS as other many problems is often influenced by imprecise data and uncertainty in practice, and in such situation the use of uncertainty techniques is a suitable to deal with this kind of problems. The FST is one of the most powerful existing tools capable of addressing ambiguity and blurring information in parameters
