EOSs may be agile or non-agile. The agile satellites have more degrees of freedom in its maneuvers. However, each type of these satellites has its own MPS systems. Of course, the Agile Earth Observing Satellite (AEOS) constellation needs more complicated MPS systems to be managed by. In some cases, a satellite constellation may contain different satellite types orbiting the earth in different orbits with different specifications. Moreover, some constellations may contain satellites with different payload types. Such constellations, with different satellite types, different orbit specifications and different payload types are called heterogeneous constellations. The MPS systems used for management of the heterogeneous constellations is the most sophisticated ones. This thesis depicts the algorithms concerning the planning and scheduling process for agile remot sensing satellite, starting from cutting up the area of interest then study the fesability of this area to determine the time window for the acquisition with optimum acquisition angles, finally calculate the ground sampling distance expected after imaging process ER -
