Finding the restorative material that could survive and be quite resistant in the challenges and difficulties foundin a high caries risk environment is the key to solve the puzzleof finding a restoration that suits normal personnel with fluctuating modes of life style and dietary habits. Glass ionomer is a well-known name in caries management and control meanwhile, the dark side in its history is being limited as an interim restoration inside patient mouth. The recently introduced version of glass ionomer with glass hybrid technology could be a new breakthrough in its future. The current study was conducted to evaluate the clinical performance of glass ionomer with glass hybrid technology compared to conventional high viscosity glass ionomer in class I cavities in high caries risk patientsafter 1 year of clinical performance
