Introduction TD echocardiography and speckle-tracking-based strain imaging provide direct quantitative information about myocardial motion and deformation, which is more geometry independent than measurement of EF.(Dragulescu and Mertens,2010). Aim of the work The aim of this study is to assess the normal parameters of tissue Doppler and speckle tracking imaging in Egyptian children aged 3 5 years and effect of age on these parameters Patients and Methods The study included 30 normal children aged 3-5y,Pulse Doppler, Tissue Doppler assessment of LV and RV systolic and diastolic functions andspeckled tracking of LV to detect circumferential and longitudinal strain was done. Results this study shows statistically insignificant correlation between (TDI , GLS) and (age, SA and BW). GCS shows statistically significant correlation with (SA and BW). however, itshows statistically insignificant association with age. In conclusion-Age ,sex , BW and BSA have no significant effect on diastolic function parameters within the studied age group.-Systolic function parameters by tissue Doppler are not correlated with age ,BW and BSA
