It explores the relation between the political conditions in Egypt and the weakness and potential failure of the GPFs, while considering their internal structural and operative misconducts and lack of valuation to the political momentum post 2011. The political reality led to the division of the GPFs into two groups in terms of adaptation and work continuation. The research was designed and structured shortly after the 25 January 2011 uprising amidst intentions of foreign organizations of supporting democratic political developments. The research utilizes the qualitative approach and its interpretive methods and practices of data collection. Limitations of the research included the reluctance of interviewees to give information openly and freely, while some information and documents were denied due to security concerns. The added value of the research lies in the qualitative research and personalized views on the function and impact of the GPFs as international actors of democracy assistance in Egypt, amidst a politically dynamic transitional phase post 2011. The research concludes that the political challenges and restrictions led to the undermined impact of the GPFs in the area of democratic development in Egypt post 25 January 2011 uprising, while the GPFs{u2019} own operative misconducts and lack of adaptation were intervening variables UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
