Patients and Methods: 89 patients were included in our study, taking BM samples, RNA extraction and quantitative RT-PCR were done to detect the frequency of NPM1 mutation A. Results:We found NPM1 mutation in 33/89 (37.1) AML patients of which NPM mutation A was found in 6/33 (18.1%) NPM mutated AML patients and was 6/89 (6.7%) of AML patients. 24/33 (72.7%) NPM mutated patients were died before day 28 of treatment. 9/33 (27.3%) NPM mutant patients achieved CR. 5/6 (83.3%) NPM mutation A patients died before D28 of treatment and 1/6 (6.7%) NPM mutation A patient achieve CR with no statistically significance. Conclusions:We found that frequency of NPM gene mutation was 37% of AML patients and NPM gene mutation A was 18% of NPM1 mutation and 6.7 of AML patients UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
