This study was performed to compare between stability bicortical screw versus the adjustable plating system in addition to 3 bicortical screws versus fixation after bilateral sagittal split osteotomy ( BSSO). The current study was a randomized clinical trial which included 12 patients, 5 males and 7 females, with age ranging from 15-56 years old suffering from mandibular retrognathism and indicated for mandibular advancement referred to the outpatient clinic of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Kentucky, KY, USA
