Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common cancer in men with increasing incidence with age. Under normal circumstances, MicroRNAs (miRNAs) can generate different functions for regulating RNA protein levels and balancing abnormalities. Some authors suggest that miRNA153 plays an important role in promoting proliferation of human prostate cancer cells and presents a novel mechanism of miRN mediated direct suppression of PTEN expression in prostate cancer. AIM: evaluation of implication of miRNA 153 on PTEN expression in Prostatic adenocarcinoma in Egyptian patients and its impact on diagnosis and possible target therapy. MATERIAL&METHODS: a case control study included 80 prostatic adenocarcinoma archival blocks& 20 benign prostatic hyperplasia blocks as a control, Detection of PTEN by Immunohistochemical (IHC) technique and miRNA 153 by In Situ Hybridization (ISH) technique
