Recent research indicates relatively high rates of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children with DS. The Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers with Follow-Up (M CHAT/F) is currently one of the most widely used ASD screening instruments internationally. Aggressive early intervention leads to the best long-term prognosis. Aim: Screening for ASD among children with DS using M-CHAT-R/F and estimating the rate of ASD among those patients. Methodology: Convenient sample of 290 Patients diagnosed as DS age ranges from 2 to 4 years old. Patient's caregivers are subjected to the M-CHAT-R/F. The final diagnosis of ASD is confirmed by clinical assessment using international classification of diseases: Diagnostic criteria for research, 10th edition (ICD-10) UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
