Methodology : 20 implants were placed in posterior mandible for each groups, the temperature of bone was measured before and after the implant site preparation by thermocouples. The implant stability and the marginal bone loss were evaluated by Ostel device and CBCT respectively. Result: the heat generation was statically difference between the two groups. The implant stability and the marginal bone loss were no statically difference. Conclusion: the low speed drilling 150 rpm without irrigation is a successful and applicable drilling technique in implant site preparation regardless of its relatively high temperature, as it did not exceed the critical limit UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
