Thus, MB designs would not be as rotationally constraining as fixed bearing (FB) conforming implants and would provide increased motion clinically and improved knee kinematics of both femoro- tibial and patello-femoral articulations. In addition, maintenance of articulation congruity throughout the range of motion would lead to lower wear rates and therefore improved durability (3).
