In this study, an existing model of MDC was studied and parametric study was performed to study the effect of each parameter on MDC performance then the analysis results were used for equations simplification by eliminating the ineffectual parameters. Also, the reduced model was calibrated and validated for cyclic batch flow using experimental literature data .The effect of different operating parameters (external resistance, temperature, substrate concentration and salt concentration) on the performance of MDC system was studied then some modifications were added to the model equations to be in agreement with observed trends in experimental studies ER -
