Poor technique and skill are considered as the primary causes leading to surgical failure of lumbar spondylolisthesis. The satisfactory outcome could be obtained by appropriately using the revision techniques.Despite longer surgical times, technical challenges, and potential complication rates, the reward for embarking on revision surgery in the well-selected patient is clinical success. Correct diagnosis is necessary before an original surgery and more importantly when evaluating and treating patients with failed spondylolisthesis surgical procedure.Adequate surgical procedure, satisfactory pain control results can be achieved in most of the patients.Complications are usually properly managed and depend mainly on surgical technique. However large sample size and longer follow-up is mandated for further evaluation
