Two novel coumarin based Schiff bases and their complexes with Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Er(III) and Yb(III) metal ions were prepared and subjected to many physicochemical techniques such as elemental analysis, mass spectroscopy, IR, ¹H NMR, molar conductance, thermal analyses techniques (TG and DTG).The complexes were found to have octahedral geometry. The coordination sites of the two Schiff base ligands were identified from the IR spectra. The antimicrobial activity of the Schiff base ligands and cited compounds against Gram positive and Gram negative and fungi organisms were also screened. The complexes were found to have antibacterial and antifungal activity higher that the parent Schiff base ligands. In addition, the anticancer activity was also screened, and the metal complexes give potent activity better than the parent ligands. Further, Molecular optimization and Molecular docking are performed for selected compounds
