Background: Vascular abnormalities and retinal sensitivity affection are considered to be involved in multiple sclerosis (MS). Optical coherence tomography (OCT) angiography is a new method to assess the density of the vascular networks. The microperimeter was used to evaluate the average light sensitivity of retina and fixation stability. Objective: To correlate between the retinal vascular affection (Macula and ONH) measured with optical coherence tomography-Angiography (OCT-A) and retinal sensitivity (Macula and Peripapillary) measured with Microperimetry in multiple sclerosis patients with and without optic neuritis trying to understand the disease pathology and degree of patient disability. Methods: A total of 18 patients (18 eyes, 6 with previous attack of optic neuritis & 12 without.) and 18 age-matched healthy subjects (18 eyes) were used as control group. Subjects underwent complete neurological examination by neurology specialist to assess the expanded disability score system; EDSS and ophthalmological examination. Subjects were studied by OCT-A to measure retinal vascularity of the macula and the optic nerve head. They also underwent Microperimetry examination to assess retinal sensitivity in the III Peripapillary and macular areas. Results: We found that eyes from patients with MS (especially those with history of optic neuritis) had lower vessel density, thickness and sensitivity than controls. Such decrease in the three parameters was somehow correlated between each other. However those changes were not correlated with EDSS except for the reduction in ONH vessel density
