The study area of the present work includes Hapy, Akhen, Seth and Taurt fields of the Ras Elbar concession northeast the offshore Nile Delta province. The Pliocene-Pleistocene succession including El Wastani, Mit Ghamr and post Mit Ghamr (i.e. Bilqas) formations is the studied interval in the four selected gas fields of the present work. The main aim of the present thesis is to investigate, in details, the Ras Elbar Concession area and to shed light on the tectono-stratigraphic relation among its hydrocarbon fields. The present study workflow and hypothesis can be used as an analogue which may be applied on other areas with a similar approach. The present work approach has been accomplished via studying the stratigraphic aspects including sedimentary facies and environments, cyclicity and sequences distribution in time and space, wireline logs (Gamma Ray and Neutron/Density), well cuttings, conventional core samples, foraminferal and calcareous nannoplanktons analyses, interpreted seismic lines in addition to thin sections petrography and mineralogical identification by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis as well as scanning electron microscope (SEM) with EDX were used in the present work. The study succession could be distinguished into a series of high frequency stratigraphic third order cycles (3.7, 3.8 and 3.9 cycles). These three third order stratigraphic cycles (3.7, 3.8 and 3.9 cycles) comprise fifteen sedimentary cycles from base to top (A to O). Detailed well correlation between the four studied fields shows that the late Pliocene section is represented by A to G sedimentary cycles and subcycle H1 whereas the Pleistocene section is represented by H2 sedimentary subcycle and cycles from I to O. The high resolution biostratigraphic analysis in the present work showed that, the clastic-dominated hydrocarbon bearing units in the studied section belong to the El Wastani Formation interval in a shallow marine, partly restricted depositional setting with intermittent partial open marine conditions
