Common traditional treatments utilized for obesity include medications, surgical interference, exercises, and diet programs. Few studies have investigated cryotherapy techniques for obesity. Purpose: To investigate the effect of cryolipolysis on leptin hormone in obese subjects.Material and Methods: thirty obese subjects from both genders had body mass index from 30 to 35, their ages ranged from 30 to 40 years old were selected. Design of study: Pre test-post test-control group was used. Group (A) the experimental group: This group consisted of 15 obese subjects were received cryolipolysis, a duration of 60 min.1 session/month for 3 months and diet intervention. Group (B)The control group: This group consisted of 15 obese subjects were received diet intervention for 3 months. All the subjects were assessed before and after treatment with body mass index, hunger level, and serum leptin hormone. Results: Within two groups: There was a significant decrease in body mass index, hunger level, and leptin hormone. In group (A) there was a significant decrease in body mass index, hunger level, and leptin hormone more than in group (B). Alpha level was set at (P<0.05).Conclusion: The application of the cryolipolysis technique on obese subjects positively affects body mass index, hunger level, and leptin hormone UR - http://172.23.153.220/th.pdf ER -
