<br/><br/> Background: The study is a prospective observational cross-sectional study, which was conducted in (NICU) at Cairo University Pediatrics Hospital, on 50 neonates from age 1-28 days old with neonatal sepsis. Subjects andmethods: All neonates included in the study were subjected to have infection and a sepsis workup including Laboratory investigations (CBC: especially WBCS and differential count, Blood culture, CRP, urine culture). Resuts: The Urine culture result,16.0% had positive urine culture, while 84.0% had negative culture and bacteriuria in our study had Sensitivity 100.00% and Specificity 95.24% Conclusion: Neonates with sepsis may have a concomitant urinary tract infection (UTI) which may be asymptomatic or have nonspecific symptoms. UTI in infants may be associated with bacteremia which may be end with longterm complications
