Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Mathematics Summary: A boundary fourier expansion method is used to solve the system of field equations of plane, linear elasticity in stresses for homogeneous, isotropic media occupying a doubly-connected domain under prescribed pressures on the boundaries. The boundary values of the relevant harmonic functions as well as the displacement components are obtained and the error in satisfying the boundary conditions is given when the pressures on both boundaries have equal values
