Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University -Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Growth and Development Disorders in Pediatrics Summary: studies that assessed the effectiveness of whole body vibration on bone mineral density in children with Down syndrome. Methods: This review included only the published randomized controlled trials.A search was made in PubMed, Cochrane library, PEDro and Google scholar; from the earliest date to June 2019. The quality of included studies was assessed by PEDro scale. Intervention: Whole body vibration on children with Down syndrome from birth until age of eighteen years. Outcome Measures: bone mineral density. Results: Only two fair-quality studies met the inclusion criteria.Meta-analysis done and findings are presented quantitatively due to homogeneity of the studies. The mean difference across of all studies is -0.43 (95 % CI -0.98- 0.11). According to Modified Sackett Scale, there is level 2 evidence to support the use of whole body vibration to increase bone mineral density. Conclusion: The current level of evidence to support the effectiveness of whole body vibration on bone density in children with Down syndrome is still weak
