Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Architectural Engineering Summary: This paper is investigating problems facing the historical sites that are well known and being included in tourism operator programs. Those sites who are supposed to attract lots of tourists but in reality they are less frequently visited and attract far less than their potentials, even after having a restoration process, it still not receiving number of tourists as expected, and in some cases, sites were attracting tourists for some time but now it{u2019}s not attracting them. After observation for this problem, it was cleared that there is no cooperation between the assigned architect for the restoration project and tourism stakeholders which results in missing some of the tourism attractions in his project
