Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Organic Chemistry Summary: The aim of the present work is to prepare organic compounds from their starting materials where these compounds are tested as thermal stabilizers for rigid poly (viny1 chloride) (PVC) . Examining the efficiency of these organic compouhds as thermal stabilizers for rigid PVC by measuring their thermal stability (Ts) values and determining the dehydrochlorination rate of PVC samples stabilized with the investigated stabilizers compared with PVC blank and PVC samples stabilized with reference stabilizers
