Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Geology Summary: Seventy two samples have been chosen from Sargelu, Naokelekan, and Sehkanian Formations in Banic Section in th Northern Iraq, near the territorial boundary with Turkey. All samples were analyzed by Rock-Eval pyrolysis. Also two oil samples from Miocene Jeribe Formation and Middle Jurassic Sargelu Formation have been with six rock samples from Sargelu Formation have been analyzed using Gaschromatography-Spectroscopy (GC-MS). Twenty five samples were chosen for organic petrology

Seventy two samples have been chosen from Sargelu, Naokelekan, and Sehkanian Formations in Banic Section in th Northern Iraq, near the territorial boundary with Turkey.
