Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: This study aims to investigate the effect of using steel fibersand the concentration of alkaline solution on the young's modulus of geopolymar concrete. Steel slag was used as asource material of geopolymar concrete, with 3 differentcontents 300, 400 and 500 kg/m3. For each slag content threedifferent steel fibers volume were used 0%, 1%and 2% with molarity 10%. Molarity 14% was used with different slag contents and steel fiber volume content 1%. Compressive strength, indirect tensile strength, flexural strength and young's moduluswere measured as hardened concrete properties. Using 500 kg/m3 slag with 2% steel fiber volume with molarity 10% shows 70% young's modulus higher than that without steel fiber content
