Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Aerospace Engineering
This work presents an experiment with low cost parallel computing to solve two dimensional incompressible flow problems using the vorticity stream-function formulation two solve two standard problems, namely the internal laminar flow in a lid driven cavity and external flow over NACA0012. Results of the currently implemented code showed that a four core CPU can deliver up to 3.7X compared to 15.0X using a 1152 CUDA cores GPU with comparable cost and power consumption
