The synthesis a palladium (II) complex derived from benzimidazole-oxime from simple and inexpensive starting materials, in excellent isolated yields, is described. The palladium(II) complex is found to exhibit high catalytie activity for C-C bond formation in Suzuki-Miyaura and Heck-Mizoroki cross-coupling reactions of different aryl or heteroaryl halides with aryl boronic acids and wioth terminal alkenes, respectively
