Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Oncolog-Clinical Summary: Breast cancer is the most common malignancy among Egyptian women. Young age is considered by some authors as an independent poor prognostic factor, it is usually associated with other adverse factors. In this study we compared disease characteristics between women under the age of 40 years and these over forty years old. They were found to have similar disease characteristics as pathological type but young patients tend to have more negative hormonal receptors
