Background and purpose:Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is the most common and devastating symptom in breast cancer women during and after therapeutic treatment. The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of aerobic trainingon cardiopulmonary fitness in women with cancer related fatigue. Methods and results: The study was conducted on forty women selected from Minia oncology center (Egypt) as breast cancerpatients.They were assigned randomly into two equal groups their age ranged from 30-40 years. Patientswere evaluated by Cardiopulmonary exercise test using (Modified Bruce protocol) and Multidimensional fatigue Inventory (MFI-20) before and after the study. The study group (A) received aerobic training for8weeks as 3 sessions /week each session last for 30-50minutes and control group (B) were only advised to do breathing exerciseResults: There was significant improvement in cardiopulmonary parametersexcept for resting and maximum diastolic blood pressure and decrease in fatigue in group (A) compared to group (B).Conclusion: The study concluded that aerobic trainingincreases cardiopulmonary fitness and decreases fatiguein women with cancer related fatigue
