This study was conducted on 200 patients fulfilling the criteria of symptomatic acute hepatitis and resented to Imbaba Fever Hospital in the period between Dec 2000 and Aug 2001 They included both sexes and variable age groups From those patients 34 were diagnosed as acute symptomatic hepatitis C on serologic and molecular biology bases , from whom 30 patients agreed to be followed up to one year , 22 continued follow up to 2 years and 15 up to mean 342 months
