Different types of surgical procedures have been described for correction of genu varum in pediatrics. In this study we have compared between two techniques of corrective upper tibial osteotomy. The percutaneous and open techniques, in our series we have operated twenty case of bilateral genu varum (40 tibiae), twenty tibia were operated using percutaneous technique and the other twenty were operated using the open one with a mean follow up of three months. In both groups the correction was maintained by using cast only without any internal fixation. Both techniques were equally effective in correction of the deformity, there were no major complications encountered in both groups, the percutaneous technique has the advantage of more cosmetic surgical scar and shorter operative time
