Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Radio-diagnosis
This study included thirty{u2013}six patients (36 patients), all of which had an initial baseline MRI assessment, 27 patients had only one post treatment follow up MRI assessment, while 6 patients had two assessments and two and one patients had three and five post treatment follow up assessments respectively. Twenty eight patients received systemic chemotherapy only, 8 patients had CCRTH & only 7 patients had surgery post CTH and/or CCRTH. We aimed to evaluate the role of quantitative diffusion-weighted imaging with ADC mapping in the evaluation of response of advanced and metastatic STS (excluding gastrointestinal stromal tumor, GIST) to systemic therapy. Based on (RECIST 1.1), 13 patients had disease progression (PD),12 patients showed stable disease (SD) and 11 patients showed partial response to treatment (PR).Those results were correlated to the histopathological results when available
