Renal lesions are being discovered with increasing frequency due to rapid development and advances in cross-sectional imaging studies being applied in clinical practice. Accurate characterization of the renal lesions is important in order to make decision for surgery or not .MRI DWI is a new tool that help to understand the cellular composition of the renal lesions without contrast injection. in our study , 25 patients with benign ,malignant ,inflammatory renal lesions as well as patients with renal parenchyma diseases were included. Diffusion image and ADC value of different lesions were analyzed and compared with each others. Results: we noticed that ADC of normal renal parenchyma was the highest while ADC of inflammatory lesions were the lowest .the ADC of benign lesions was significantly higher than that of malignant lesions. Also we founded that there was inverse relationship between ADC and serum renal functions
