Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Agriculture - Department of Pomology Summary: Four mango (Mangiferaindica L.) rootstocks (Sukkary, Zebda, 13/1 and Peach) were selected and grafted with the scion "Keitt" toassess the tolerance of the grafted foreign and local mango rootstocks to salt stress and disclose such effect on morphological and chemical characteristics. Saline treatment included irrigation with saline water at 1000, 2000 and 3000 ppm in addition to the untreated one (control) were tested on plant survival, marginal burned leaves, growth parameter (scion length, scion thickness, number of leaves, leaf area.), mineral accumulation, leaf chlorophylls, leaf proline and ABA contents, In addition to Isozymes analysis by electrophoresis for peroxidase (POD) and poly phenol oxidase enzymes (PPO). The obtained results showed that salinity treatments decreased the survival percentage, plant growth parameter, leaf chlorophylls and carotene, leaf N content, and root N, P, K, Cacontents, Meanwhile, increasing of salinity levels increased each of the percentage of marginal burned leaves / scion, leaf P, K, Ca, Na, Cl contents, Na/K ratio, proline and ABA contents, root Na, Cl contents and root Na/K ratio
