The family physician is responsible for increase health awareness for diabetic patients about prevention and early detection of diabetic retinopathy for proper management and follow-up. The objectives of this study were to assess the awareness of diabetic patients about the screening for diabetic retinopathy and to identify the factors associated with the attendance and non-attendance of patients for diabetic retinopathy screening
