Summary: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على تطبيقات تكنولوجيا المعلومات المستخدمة وإعطاء رؤية محددة حول واقع إدارة التغيير التكنولوجي وانعكاساته على المكتبات الأكاديمية والبحثية في دولة الكويت، بالإضافة إلى الوقوف على أبرز المشاكل والمعوقات التي يمكن أن تؤدي إلى عرقلة مشروعات التغيير التكنولوجي في مكتباتها، والسعي إلى تحديد متطلبات مواكبة التغييرات التكنولوجية المختلفة التي تحتاجها، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي وتم تصميم استبانة لجمع البيانات المطلوبة وطبقت على المسؤولين وإدارة مكتبات عينة الدراسة وعددها ٥ مكتبات وقد توصلت النتائج إلى وجود انعكاسات للتغيير التكنولوجي على العمليات الفنية والخدمية وعلى الأنظمة الإلكترونية والتفاعل مع المجتمع ، ووجود مخاوف وسلبيات لانعكاسات التغيير التكنولوجي على خدمات المكتبات والمعلومات تكمن في عدم القدرة على تقديم خدمات مستحدثة لعدم توافر متطلباتها ولضعف الميزانية، وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة المواكبة المستمرة ومتابعة القفزات التكنولوجية العصرية والمستحدثة لدعم تفاعل المجتمع باستمرار الإشباع احتياجاته ومتطلباته و توفير ميزانية لتنفيذ المشاريع.Summary: The study aimed to identify the information technology applications used, giving a specific vision about the reality of technological change management and its implications for academic and research libraries in the State of Kuwait, in addition to identifying the most prominent problems and obstacles that can lead to obstructing technological change projects in Kuwait libraries, also aimed to define requirements to keep pace with changes the different technologies that the libraries need, the study relied on the Descriptive analytical method to study a group of academic and research libraries in the State of Kuwait, and to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was designed to collect the required data and was applied to managers of the 5 study sample libraries. The results concluded that there are repercussions of technological change on technical and service operations, electronic systems, and interaction with society, also concluded that fears and negatives of the repercussions of technological change on library and information services lie in the inability to provide modern services due to the lack of their
