بدأت التغيرات والتحولات العمرانية تزداد بشكل متسارع ومتنوع على التجمعات المطلة على نهر النيل، والذي يعتبر ثروة قومية كبرى في جمهوريه مصر العربية، وخاصة تغير استعمالات أراضي الواجهات النيلية سواء كان هذا التغير تلقائي او موجه، مما ادى الى ظهور تباين واضح في ملامح وصفات عمران هذ الواجهات، فالبحث يحاول فهم ديناميكية التغيرات التي تحدث لاستعمالات أراضي الواجهات النيلية (زمنيا ومكانيا)، ومدى تأثرها وارتباط تغيراتها بالتغيرات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية للسكان، بهدف السيطرة على نوعية استعمالات الأراضي على الواجهات النهرية، وأشكال التغير الحادث بها مستقبلاً.

فقد تم التحقق من صحة فرضية البحث بإثبات وجود علاقة ارتباطية قوية وواضحة بين تغير استعمالات أراضي الواجهات النيلية، وأحجام سكان تجمعاتها، عن طريق اتباع مبادئ المنهج الكمي وتطبيقات التحليل الإحصائي وذلك بعد إجراء مسح شامل لجميع واجهات التجمعات النيلية في مصر، ورصد نوعية استعمالات الأراضي الحالية لوجهاتها، والبيانات الإحصائية المتعلقة بالخصائص الاجتماعية والمؤشرات السكانية، والانشطة الاقتصادية للسكان لعدد 612 تجمع عمراني، باستخدام احد البرنامج الإحصائية وهو SPSS Statistics، كما يمكن الاعتماد على نتائج البحث بدرجة كبيرة في التوقع والتنبؤ بتغير استعمالات الأراضي على الواجهات النيلية مستقبلاٌ.

Urban changes and transformations are increasing rapidly in a variety of ways in the Nile-facing agglomerations, which are a major national treasure in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This is especially true of the changes in land use on the Nile fronts, whether spontaneous or planned, which have led to a clear disparity in the features and characteristics of urban development on these fronts. The research attempts to understand the dynamics of the changes that occur in land use on the Nile fronts (temporally and spatially) and the extent to which they are affected and associated with the social and economic changes of the population, with the aim of controlling the quality of land use on the Nile fronts and the forms of change that will occur in them in the future.
The validity of the research hypothesis was verified by proving the existence of a strong and clear correlation between the change in land use on the Nile fronts and the population sizes of their agglomerations, using the principles of the quantitative approach and the applications of statistical analysis after conducting a comprehensive survey of all the Nile agglomeration fronts in Egypt and monitoring the current type of land use on their fronts, as well as the statistical data related to the social characteristics and population indicators, and the economic activities of the population for 612 urban agglomerations, using one of the statistical programs, SPSS Statistics. The research results can be relied upon to a great extent in predicting and forecasting the change in land use on the Nile fronts in the future.
